Advancement of Innovation and Start-up Business in Pharmaceuticals in India
The Drugs Controller General (I) has issued a Public Notice dated 20 July 2018 about the promotion of innovation and start-up business in Pharmaceuticals in India. The notice states that a robust regulatory system streamlining the regulatory approval process is important to ensure the efficacy and quality of medical products and is also required to support, facilitate, guide and encourage entrepreneurs, researchers, and innovators in the field of pharmaceutical research.

To facilitate such businesses and innovators the DCG (I) office has recently established a Public Relations Office (PRO) as a single window for stakeholders with an objective to provide guidance to innovators/ start-ups on all the regulatory requirements that are needed for the commercialization of their products.
So that the system becomes more convenient it has been decided that a direct video-conferencing (VC) facility will be provided at DCG (I) office to entrepreneurs, researchers, and innovators. This facility is in line with the Mission of Ease of Doing business and Make in India initiatives of the Government of India.
The timing of the VC facility will be 10:00 am to 5:30 pm on all working days with the prior appointment of the Office of the DCG (I). The applicant can avail of this facility by making a request for an appointment with details of the proposal in the prescribed format as per Annexure – 1 to the Public Relations Office for which the email ID is [email protected]
