Featured Services

Our laboratories are fully equipped with avant-garde equipment to test for heavy metals in Herbal Products.  We analyze the concentration of heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, arsenic, mercury and copper that are detected using ICP-MS.

Our laboratory carries out development of chromatographic fingerprinting methods using HPTLC, HPLC, GC, LCMSMS and GC MS for single herb and poly herbal formulations. We also support our clients with the routine chromatographic fingerprinting for the identification and quality control of the herbal ingredients and finished products.

We test for pesticide residue in herbal products, herbal medicines, raw herbs and herbal extracts to ensure compliance to global quality standards. We are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as LC MS-MS, GCMSMS, GCMS, GC with ECD, and NPD for measuring trace levels of pesticides in herbal medicines.

Testing for Steroids, Painkillers and Drugs in Herbal Medicines

We have been conducting lab testing of herbal medicines  since 1985 and have developed tests for quickly and cost-effectively identifying adulteration of herbal medicines with modern medicines such as steroids, painkillers, and antibiotics.

Major Equipments

Auriga Research has a state of the art laboratory with equipment and analytical methodologies like: Chromatography (TLC, GC, HPLC, HPTLC, GC/MS, LC/MS/MS, GPC, Headspace Analyzer); Spectroscopy (FTIR, UV/visible, Atomic Absorption) Spectrometry (ICP/MS);

HPLC System
HPLC

It is used for identification and quantification of herbal drugs. It is a separation technique to separate constituents of herbal extracts for identification and quantification of compounds and establishing the fingerprint profiles of mixtures and crude extracts.

HPTLC

We use HPTLC for identification and quantitative analysis of almost all marker compounds in herbal drugs. It saves ample time as different drugs are analyzed on the same plate.

ICP-MS-New-Instrument

ICP-MS

ICP MS gives the advantage of analyzing all the metals at the same time with minimal manual intervention, which is required when analyzing samples on an AAS with hydride generation and graphite furnace assembly.

New LCMS installed at Auriga

LC/MS

It is used as a powerful tool for chemical analysis to assure its efficacy, safety and quality. It is used to analyze multi components in complex herbal matrices such as aflatoxins and pesticides.

LCMS-MS
GC/MS

GC-MS analysis is used to identify various constituents in herbal oils and alcohol content in herbal syrups. It detects how much each constituent is present as a percentage.

Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analyser

AAS

Atomic absorption spectroscopy is a widely used technique for trace analysis of elements in matrices ranging from foods, waste waters, geological, pharmaceutical and biological.

UV-Visible Spectrophotometer in Bangalore Lab

UV SPECTROPHOTOMETER

UV Spectrophotometer is used to analyze the marker compound in herbal products samples. It detects UV absorbance, linearity graphs. It shows the maximum absorbance for the assay of the marker compound in herbal drugs.

Karl Fischer Titrators

Karl Fischer Titration

It is used to determine moisture content in chemical analysis to show whether the product has required physical characteristics and shelf life to determine the quality of the product.
